• Where Garnet is

  In the valleys on the outskirts of Kandy, Sri Lanka, overlooking the Mahaweli river.

• Room types

  There are four. Rhodolite Suites with river views, Hessonite Family Rooms with two king-size beds, Almandine double rooms and Pyrope twin rooms.

• Check-in and check-out times

  Check-in is from 14.00 and check-out is by 12.00. Ask us about early arrival or late departure.

• The rooftop pool

  Yes. Crown, the rooftop, has an infinity pool and a bar for all guests of the hotel. Yoga sessions run on selected mornings at sunrise.

• Dining if you are not staying

  Yes. Table, the multi-cuisine restaurant on the first floor, is open to non-residents. Pavilion, the fine-dining room on the third floor, takes reservations.

• Weddings and conferences

  Yes. Lustre, the banquet hall on the fourth floor, faces the river and holds up to 200 guests for intimate wedding ceremonies and business conferences.

• The spa

  Yes. Cabochon, on the ground floor, is a spa for guests of the hotel, with Ayurvedic and herbal treatments, massage and steam.

• Distance to the airport

  Bandaranaike International Airport is about 100 km from Kandy, roughly three hours by road. We can arrange a transfer.

• How to book

  Choose your room and dates on the Book page and send your request. The reservations team confirms availability and the final rate by email or WhatsApp. No payment is taken online.

• The bat flight

  Each evening at dusk, fruit bats leave their roosts and fly across the valley. You can watch them from the rooftop.
